Yoga Style

Suzanne’s Vinyasa, Iyengar, Forrest, and Synergy roots are fused in a slow-style, technically-focused class that will leave you refreshed and connected to your body. While Suzanne pays homage to yoga’s history throughout class, her sessions are open to all and are a happy extension of or accompaniment to your own religious and spiritual beliefs.

Why yoga?

Suzanne started yoga shortly after having her third child. It immediately appealed to her; the flow of movement and kinetic learning was, after all, what she had loved in her career as a dancer. Shortly after this her son was diagnosed with autism, the space she created on her yoga mat every class gave her great comfort in a space of new challenges. She has gone on to have some of her most vulnerable moments on her mat, and sees yoga as a tool for digesting the ‘bigger picture.’

That said, her reason for doing yoga over the years, just like her practice, is constantly evolving. That is what she adores most about yoga – it’s never static. Yoga allows for continuous growth, exploration, and expansion - physically, mentally and spiritually.

Why teach?

It’s simple really, to share her love of yoga with others. Suzanne’s vision is to create a supportive yoga community that doesn’t make us feel less-than, but rather helps to lift us up. A yoga community that recognizes that diversity goes way beyond, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs. A yoga community that is bonded through shared experiences, but also seeks to find each other’s unique qualities, while not making any assumptions about the other.
